The primary reason that Joe wasn't snapped up by WWE when he was setting the indie world on fire a decade ago was his weight and physique. Joe is a big dude and has only gotten bigger as the injuries have added up. While he's never been thin, Joe ballooned and TNA wasn't happy with it. Joe was suspended by TNA in 2010 because he was either unwilling to or physically could not shed the weight. Joe's size was one of his unique selling points but it became pretty bad at a point during his TNA run. He even had to switch out the trunks he famously wears for baggy shorts and pants. If Joe were to come to WWE/NXT now that he has left TNA, they would almost certainly want Joe to shed some unwanted poundage. You have to believe that the first thing they would do is send him to the Performance Centre to sweat it out. They instructed Kevin Owens (who has lost a significant amount of weight) to do the same so it is not without precedent. The question is: if Joe were to go to WWE, would it not be ten years too late?
