2. She Has Suffered At The Hands Of Nia Jax
On Boxing Day 2016, Scarlett Bordeaux received a rather unusual Christmas present. WWE RAW was in Chicago that day, and the world’s largest wrestling promotion needed a local talent to come in and get squashed by Nia Jax, with the lucky local ostensibly acting as a replacement for the ‘injured’ Sasha Banks. It was Scarlett Bordeaux who got the call.
What’s more, she actually got a little interview time in before the match, albeit in a strange spot as Jax made her way to the ring. One cheap pop later, Bordeaux was being thrown around by Jax like the proverbial rag doll. The whole thing lasted less than a minute. Bordeaux was clad in a Sasha Banks shirt, a tribute to her inspiration (on that night at least), but Boss-fuelled inspiration was nowhere to be seen.
It is always interesting to watch these jobber performances, to judge how a performer has developed from local enhancement talent to can’t-miss superstar. On 26 December 2016, Nia Jax used Scarlett Bordeaux as a stepping stone to Sasha Banks. Less than four years later, Scarlett might well be on her way to revenge.
