10 Things WWE Got Wrong At No Mercy 2017

5. The WWE Announce Team

Is there any point complaining about Michael Cole and friends? The announce team was insufferable throughout this entire show, whether it was talking about ‘Man-to-Man’ or claiming that this was once again the ‘most important night of Roman Reigns’ career’. WWE commentary is the dirt worst.

Michael Cole has been doing this job for nearly two decades, and his style has barely changed at all in that time. It is difficult to pin the blame entirely on Cole - he does have to deal with overbearing production after all - but that doesn’t mean his poor showing is excused.

Booker T has never been a good commentator, and it seems unlikely that he is going to become one any time soon. Corey Graves is clearly the best of the three, but there remains a huge disparity between his NXT work and his main roster output.

Cole’s insincerity and Booker’s mealy-mouthed rambling brought down an already frustrating show. Graves didn’t cover himself in glory either, comparing Roman’s win over Cena at No Mercy to the 'Big Dog's victory of The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Erm, what?
