The Cruiserweight division is dead. Is there any debate over that? Enzo Amore defeated Neville to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, rendering the division and everyone in it a joke. Neville dominated the Certified G for near 10 minutes, before Amore hit a low blow for the 1-2-3. This was one of the lowest moments of WWE’s year.

This was a bad match, undoubtedly the worst of Neville’s title reign. Excellent bouts with Austin Aries, Akira Tozawa, and Jack Gallagher have been resigned to the bin of history in favour of the human catchphrase, Enzo Amore. Much like Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Championship, fans will now be treated to months of 'The Realest Guy in the Room' surviving with the title.

Enzo Amore has been treated like a joke for so long. He was treated like a joke in this match. By having Enzo win the title, you remove any credibility that Cedric Alexander, Drew Gulak, Mustafa Ali, Gran Metalik, Brian Kendrick and the rest may well have had. It wasn’t in doubt, but WWE has proved that they simply have no idea how to book junior heavyweight professional wrestling.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
