10 Things WWE Needs To Bring Back
2. Proper Managers
Zelina Vega seems to be single-handedly bringing back the art of a heel valet, so how about the good old manager position comes back too?
Outside of Paul Heyman, managers have pretty much disappeared from WWE's landscape. Since the company felt wrestlers should be speaking on their own behalf more to convey their own stories, the managerial position was pretty much axed. There's a slight issue with this though... some wrestlers don't know how to speak on their own behalf.
Apollo Crews is pretty much the shining example of a fantastic professional wrestler immediately plagued by his own promo skills. WWE brought him up to the main roster and he might've been allowed to give, like, two promos in his entire rookie year. And they weren't good either.
Managers not only act as mouthpieces, but can help establish instant credibility, act as a mentor, and typically provide great exposure for younger talent. This lost art would have a lot of value finding its place back on the main roster today.
