10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Jim Ross

7. He Beat Triple H, But Also Received Damaged Vision Courtesy Of Triple H

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7tdnv_jim-ross-vs-triple-h_sport Ross was put in a match with Triple H on the April 18, 2005 edition of Raw. This was during Hunter's feud with Batista that saw Batista take the World Title from heel Triple H. They went on to have a No Disqualification Match with Hunter dominating the whole way. It's not like JR wanted to have the match. He was put into the match by Eric Bischoff. The match led to Ross bleeding profusely, which wasn't the first time since it happened against Steve Austin four years earlier. You could actually see Triple H doing the blading for JR during the attack. Batista ended up showing up, then he destroyed Triple H with a stiff chair shot. Batista placed JR on top, the ref counted and with Triple H knocked out, JR was declared the winner. After the match was over, there were reports that Hunter legitimately beat up JR because of previous heat between the two. The feeling was that that Ross was head of talent relations many years earlier, he had lowballed Triple H on contract negotiations and payoffs. Ross left that night with a black eye and damaged vision. A professional like Triple H should have never let that happen.
