10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Ultimate Warrior

2. He Also Faced Hulk Hogan In WCW

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_onsAu6SZH8 Just like his 1996 comeback was seen as a big deal, his WCW debut in 1998 was huge as well. It was WCW's way of re-creating the Hogan/Warrior feud that was so magical eight years earlier in WWE. Warrior's run in WCW didn't even last two months and he only had four official matches in the company. A trap door they used for his return also led to a serious injury for the British Bulldog too. It was not a great time for WCW, that's for sure. The Halloween Havoc 1998 match between Hogan and Warrior was awful. Hogan tried to throw a piece of fire on flash paper into Warrior's face, but it didn't end up hitting him. Then Warrior lost after Hogan's nephew Horace hit him in the back with a chair. It was a complete disaster. That whole show was a complete mess with the PPV ending earlier because they didn't time it right and the Goldberg/DDP main event was missed on the broadcast. They had to air it for free the next night on Nitro. It seemed like Warrior was only brought in to WCW to put over Hogan because Hogan had a lot of power in the company. He could do whatever he wanted, so apparently what he wanted was to get his win back against Warrior. That's Hulk Hogan. He was always a huge fan of himself. That was his last appearance in a major wrestling company until his WWE return this past WrestleMania weekend.
