You may have grown a touch tired of the infuriatingly stale trope that is WWE's penchant for throwing just about any star capable of stringing two compelling words together out in front of an audience under the banner of their own weekly talk show. But Kevin Owens still finds a way to make his titular verbal platform an engaging and regular highlight of whatever WWE programme he rocks up on.
But what WWE won't be in a rush to remind you about is the fact that Owens' proficiency in the interviewing arena is all likely down to his past experience as the host of his own show outside of Vinnie Mac's playground.
Back before he was welcoming us to The Kevin Owens Show on Raw and SmackDown (and sometimes NXT!), the one-time indy darling was known for his casual, long-form conversations on the Highspots Wrestling Network. On said Kevin Steen Show, the eventual WWE sensation would sit down with the likes of Matt Hardy, The Young Bucks, Adam Cole, and many more to shoot the breeze and get many a scoop.
So, if the day ever comes when his 'Mania 38 sparring partner feels like hanging up his Broken Skull Sessions sit-down interview hat, WWE seemingly have a ready-made replacement waiting in the wings already to host a new long-form conversation show.
