Another ill-advised booking idea if ever there was one, Vince decided to kill off his own character in a dramatic limousine explosion on a 2007 edition of Raw. Although an overly-melodramatic and controversial angle - as are many dealing with supposed deaths - this is remembered as a particularly poor decision due mainly to the tragedy which unfolded the following week, in which Chris Benoit legitimately took the lives of himself and his family. Eventually, in storyline, Vince claimed that he faked his own death in order to study how others reacted - noting Stephanie's interest in the contents of his will and supposedly faked grief. In the end, the decision to quickly forget about the angle was a no-brained for the WWE, due to the horrible events which led to the number one entry on this list.
