10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Ronda Rousey

5. That Rotten Natalya Friendship Angle

Throughout her time in UFC, Ronda Rousey was an independent sort who fought her own battles and didn't get involved in anything mushy. That was part of her appeal. She, along with several others, helped change how female fighters were perceived forever. In WWE, she's bizarrely been mis-cast at times.

Three words: "my best friend".

That was something Natalya said ad nauseum on Raw in 2018. The way she delivered the phrase was unbelievably poor, and it reeked of sarcasm more than conviction. At one stage, this writer was positively convinced that a heel turn from Nattie was only a matter of time. It never came, and so the story was useless.

Being aligned with Natalya did nothing for Ronda anyway. Sure, WWE were trying to show she was respected by veteran wrestlers, but it just went nowhere, felt bogus and didn't help either woman. File this one under "forget".
