10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Seth Rollins

2. So He's A Babyface Now?

Seth Rollins Triple H

From the moment Triple H shocked the world by punting Rollins in the gut and hitting him with the Pedigree, subsequently allowing Kevin Owens to win the WWE Universal Championship, Rollins has been a shoe-in for RAW's top babyface. Rollins' potential as a major babyface star has never been in question, and a turn was inevitable at some point down the line.

This was a real out of nowhere overnight job however, Rollins starting the night as his usual irritating despicable heel self. The four men involved in the championship match (Rollins, Owens, Roman Reigns and Big Cass) had a talking segment to start the show, during which Rollins was every bit as annoying as he had been for the previous two years.

So Triple H hitting him with a Pedigree instantly makes him a good guy? We're supposed to forget the two years of cheating, injuring heroes, gloating about injuring those heroes and generally being a top !*$% and embrace Rollins? Where was the build to the turn? It would have made so much more sense to position him as a babyface immediately after returning from injury but no, this had to happen instead.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
