1. Triple H Versus Kevin Nash In A Ladder Match (TLC 2011)
Fans were shocked when Kevin Nash cost CM Punk the WWE Title at SummerSlam 2011, but nobody foresaw how far the whole storyline would go. The Nash-Punk feud morphed into a Triple H-Punk feud, and after "The Game" scored a completely unnecessary victory over Punk, he shifted his sights to "Big Sexy." The result was a horrendously masturbatory program that led to an interminable Pay-Per-View blowoff. Nash and Triple H spent weeks cutting the requisite shoot-style promos on one another, claiming that their long history as friends (which, presumably, meant that their 2003 program was phony) had been damaged by jealousy and distrust. Nash attacked Triple H with a sledgehammer, putting him on the shelf for over a month, and when "The Game" was back in action, a sledgehammer ladder match was made for the TLC show. An 18-minute long ladder match featuring Kevin Nash in 2011 was about as good as fans expected, and the most shocking part of the bout was that nobody was injured. Unsurprisingly, Triple H climbed the ladder to get the sledgehammer, and unsurprisingly, Triple H struck and pinned Nash. Following the heatless bout, Nash was stretchered out of the arena, never to have a major WWE match again.
