10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 35

1. The Main Event's Botched Finish

It's hardly a damning indictment on women's wrestling that the main event Triple Threat at 'Mania 35 didn't live up to the billing. The pressure on Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey was immense, and it's not as though the match was abominable. It just... didn't quite capitalise on the hype.

Also, that finish will haunt everyone involved forever like the ghost of WrestleMania past.

Becky can post on Twitter all she likes about how Ronda Rousey was beaten by such a simple wrestling move, but the fact is that her roll-up wasn't the original finish. No, the referee was suitably worried by Ronda's broken hand and, fearing she wouldn't be able to work much longer, he made the call on a premature three count.

It wasn't long before news trickled out that ref Rod Zapata had been fined by WWE for botching the finish to such a crucial match. This leaves WWE a little red-faced. They want the headliner of 'Mania to be the best every year, and this wasn't that.
