10 Things You Didn't Know About Emma
3. WWE Fired & Rehired Her In A Matter Of Hours
Those lower down the totem pole in WWE must dread phone calls from top-level management, because there's always that worry that the news delivered will be bad.
Wishing performers the "best of luck in their future endeavours" is a WWE party line when terminating contracts - but it's only something Emma heard briefly in 2014.
Charged with "misdemeanour larceny in the 6th degree", the then-Diva was released from her WWE contract after apparently stealing an iPad case from a Walmart store in Hartford, Connecticut. Soon thereafter, WWE posted a message on their official website announcing that Emma had been fired.
Hours later, the company retracted their statement completely, offering up the excuse that they had experienced a change of heart. They instead punished Emma internally for her actions.
Although the story was widely circulated at the time, there will be those newer fans who weren't aware of Emma's quick-fire release and subsequent rehiring. This is not common practice for WWE. Posting an official release message online is normally a definitive decision.
For Emma, it was a temporary on. Her legal problems have been all but forgotten.
