10 Things You Didn't Know About Teddy Long

5. He Managed The Undertaker

Well, he managed The Undertaker in another organisation, anyway.

Nearly twenty years before Teddy would find himself trapped in the back of 'The Deadman's car, Long was guiding the incipient career of Mark Calaway, who briefly worked as 'Mean' Mark Callous in WCW before agreeing to portray the character that would change his life and career.

Joining Long's 'Skyscrapers' team alongside Dan Spivey following injury to previous member Sid Vicious, he'd also remain under Teddy's tutelage in a second change to the unit when Spivey left the company.

Sadly for Long and Calaway, the combination of Callous and 'The Masked Skyscraper' (Beverly Brothers member Mike Enos in a hood), were far inferior and soundly beaten by the Road Warriors in a Chicago Street Fight at February's 'WrestleWar' Pay-Per-View, unceremoniously ending the the group, save for a one-night reunion of Vicious and Spivey at that year's 'Starrcade' event in December.

Long would hand over the managerial reigns to Paul Heyman for his own brief stretch, before Callous would leave for the WWF in October.
