Within the confines of a wrestling ring, Angle hasn’t had the best of luck against Shawn Michaels or Eddie Guerrero.

Other than his win at WrestleMania 21, he’s never scored a singles victory over Michaels, and at WrestleMania XX he tasted defeated against Eddie Guerrero in their WWE Championship bout. But in real-life, he’s alleged to have beaten both Michaels and Guerrero in separate backstage tussles.

In an interview with John Pollock for Live Audio Wrestling, former WWE writer Alex Greenfield revealed that HBK had “started his overselling nonsense” and that when he “tried his sh*t with Angle one night. Angle wasn’t having it, and threw him around like a rag-doll”.

And with regards to the Eddie incident, Angle says he lost it one night after Guerrero had suggested he was too stiff.

“After a while I just said, 'F-it, Eddie, if you have a problem with me let's go right now.' The fight didn't last long. I got him in a front headlock and started choking him out. The funny this is, JBL, who likes to stir things up, later asked Eddie, 'Why would you try to double leg an Olympic Gold Medalist?'"

In fairness to JBL, it’s a pretty valid point.
