10 Things You Didn't Know About Balls Mahoney

2. He Was A Member Of The Church Of Satan

Balls Mahoney went on record on a number of occasions referring to himself as a 'card carrying member of the Church of Satan'. He identified as a Satanist, and as a lot of his ring gear and professional wrestling character would be built off of this. He would often wear a t-shirt with 'First in Hell' emblazoned on the back, and Balls often said he believed in such things.

Now, it is unsure whether Balls was a satanist in the media-favoured form or the genuine church belief reality (accepting of human nature, building of ego) etc, but this may very well be moot. Balls was a satanist, through and through.

Fairly stereotypically this meant he was a big fan of the heavy metal, often mentioning King Diamond as his favourite performer in interviews.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
