7. JBL Was Legitimately Drunk

Okay, this one might not come as such a surprise. JBL was never a fan of the original ECW and was part of the 'welcoming committee' of WWE wrestlers who would test out guys coming from ECW to WWE when he was a member of the APA. Bradshaw and Simmons roughed up the Public Enemy during a Sunday Night Heat match in 1999.

So when WWE informed JBL that he was going to get involved in the ECW storylines and show, he basically took it as an excuse to make shoot comments, drink a lot and beat the s*** out of The Blue Meanie. Bradshaw, who was known as a heavy drinker in those days, was totally tanked during the pay-per-view. He sat in the balcony and pretty much buried everything any time the camera was on him.

JBL was also mic'd, with his opinions recorded for a special alternative commentary for the ECW DVD. An intoxicated JBL was full of gems, including the zinger 'Fat f*** with blue hair. Go find your porn star wife!' when Meanie was on screen, repeatedly referring to Mike Awesome as 'Mike Awful' and screaming that Masato Tanaka was his 'doorman' about five or six times.
