10 Things You Didn't Know About Scott Hall

6. He Was Jeff Hardy's First WWE Opponent

While Jeff Hardy is synonymous with the latter part of the Attitude Era, and the Razor Ramon persona is tied to the New Generation days of the WWF, Hardy and Razor crossed paths in Jeff's very first match under the WWE banner.

Taking place when Hardy was only 16 years of age, the Bad Guy squashed the future Charismatic Enigma on the 6 June 1994 edition of WWF Raw. Taped two weeks prior, this was your typical enhancement match, with Ramon putting his young opponent away without breaking a sweat.

Interestingly, Jeff competed under the name of Keith Davis on that night. That was the name of Razor Ramon's scheduled opponent for that episode of Raw, with the real Davis backing out of the tapings at short notice. Having been brought to the show by veteran journeyman 'The Italian Stallion' Gary Sabaugh, Hardy was offered up as a replacement for Keith. Once Jeff's age was falsely declared to be 18 rather than 16, he was given the nod to take on Razor.

Skipping ahead, Jeff Hardy would actually get a shock countout victory over Ramon 18 months later, picking up that win over the then-Intercontinental Champion on the 13 January 1996 WWF Superstars after Razor was distracted by a centrefold photo of Goldust.

Scott Hall would be out of the WWF just four months after this loss, whilst Jeff and his brother Matt would finally be given full-time WWF contracts two years later.
