Back home in the UK as a young emerging talent, The Dynamite Kid was paid an average of £12 per match. That wasn't as shabby as it sounds in the late-'70s, though it obviously couldn't compare to the comparative riches he'd make stateside for the WWF. One pay day stood out above all.

WrestleMania IV. Yep, that one with the dreary 14-man tournament that took place in Donald Trump's back yard.

Dynamite was teaming with Davey Boy and Koko B. Ware to take on The Islanders and Bobby Heenan in a special six-man tag attraction, and it turned out to be the biggest wage of his career. That night, Dynamite earned himself $24,000, and he'd never top that number for a one-off gig again.

The match lasted a little over seven minutes and was based more around comedy than anything else, so it's not like Kid had to sweat to earn his keep. Back then, $24k roughly equated to £12,000, which is how Dynamite said he looked at every pay off, and he was happy with it.
