10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE In 2017

6. The Miz' Forgotten Talking Smack Follow-Up

Partially because it simply couldn't compete with his electrifying original salvo but also because it felt far closer to controlled chaos than the near-knuckle scenes on the show months earlier, a 2017 Talking Smack diatribe dished out by The Miz against Daniel Bryan and Renee Young has mostly been lost to the content churn.

All the above caveats aside, and it's not half bad.

Fuming at the supposed corruption at the heart of Bryan's stewardship over SmackDown, Miz rages over losing his Intercontinental Championship in circumstances that didn't particularly favour him. Chasing that sequel feeling, he gets angrier, but reduces things a little by the end thanks to something that looks closer to a tantrum than a transcendent moment.

The reality - barely scratched surface though it was - was mined from Miz getting angry with Young's involvement in an angle with Maryse after she'd slapped him during an interview.

Most assumed this might have led to a mixed tag also featuring Dean Ambrose, but WWE wisely steered away from this in the end, instead programming Miz and Maryse against John Cena and Nikki Bella.
