10 Things You Didn't Know Were Banned In Triple H's WWE
9. Lego
Ronda Rousey, speaking on her gaming YouTube channel, revealed ahead of her match with Liv Morgan at Extreme Rules that she wanted to use lego as a weapon. It was meant to double as a taunt; her character deemed Liv a child, so the character would treat her as one in the guts of the match.
It never happened; Rousey revealed that she was told it too closely resembled a spot from a memorable AEW match; she didn't specify, but lego was used in the Best Friends Vs. Miro and Kip Sabian Arcade Anarchy blow-off. That spot worked in much the same way the match did - with no right - and it is clearly considered as AEW's IP.
Triple H cannot be seen to be mimicking the lowly alternative that only narrowly defeated developmental (which also defeated Raw and SmackDown at Survivor Series). The optics would be damaging. That is why Triple H won't base his narrative framework around stables, won't bring back an endless parade of names with no real direction for the sake of an easy pop, and won't base storylines and matches around the region that is set to host the show.
This wasn't Rousey's only unsuccessful pitch for her Extreme Rules match...
