10 Things You Might Have Missed On The WWE SmackDown Live! Superstar Shake-Up (April 17)

6. Cruel To Be Kind?

So here's a one.

John Cena and Nikki Bella's recent separation called to mind other wrestling couples that sadly haven't stayed the course, with Big Cass and Carmella's recent split a rather sad story for those that followed the pair's irritatingly separate stints on the main roster following significant success on NXT.

Their love was tested and ultimately lost thanks to the initial Enzo & Cass call-up happening without 'The Princess Of Staten Island' just months before her own arrival on SmackDown Live! So much time away from one another put paid to a relationship still blossoming - the pair had just invested in a home together if recent Total Divas storylines had even kernels of truth amongst the popcorn silliness.

All of that said, might their careers now flourish for the chopping, changing and rearranging? There's actual sports entertainment intrigue in Daniel Bryan's upcoming programme with the seven-footer, whilst Carmella's aforementioned anointment suggests a lengthy reign as a sneaky survivor. WWE could have given them both, of course, but the company doesn't allow for complaining.
