10 Things You Need To Know About Bad News Barrett

4. Was Arrested For Battery

The wrestling landscape is full of those who have had the odd skirmish with the law here and there, and Stuart Bennett is no different. Bennett's run-in with the law took place back in June of 2008, with him being charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and obstructing an officer. The arrest took place in Tampa, Florida and the actual incident occurred outside a restaurant at 2am. As it would happen, Bennett, who was then going by the ring name of Stu Sanders, would be released the next day and all charges were eventually dropped. In Bennett's defence, the officer in question wasn't wearing a uniform and the future Wade Barrett claimed that he never would have obstructed him or put up a fight if he'd have known that the guy was a member of the police. In fairness to Stuart Bennett, this truly does seem to have just been a blip and he's had nothing similar happen in the near-7 years since this incident. And if that mugshot shows us anything, it's that the Englishman definitely suits a shorter, stylised haircut.
