8. It's Absolutely Stacked With Talent

NJPW BOSJ Block A

NJPW always seem to assemble an outstanding array of Junior Heavyweight talent for BOSJ, but this year’s group is particularly impressive. There are a couple of notable omissions in Zack Sabre Jr. and both Roppongi Vice members, but as a whole, this is one of the most exciting line-ups ever assembled, particularly in block A.

Marty Scurll, Will Ospreay, and Ricochet should need no introduction for indie-savvy wrestling fans, and neither should the legendary Jushin Thunder Liger. They’re joined by Dragon Lee (CMLL’s 21-year-old lucha phenom), Suzuki-gun members Taichi and Taka Michinoku (a former WWE Light Heavyweight Champion), and Hiromu Takahashi, the reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.

While not as star-studded as A, B also houses some of the best wrestlers on the planet. KUSHIDA is still regarded as NJPW’s JHW ace, Volador Jr. is one of Mexico’s hottest properties, and ACH is as smooth and charismatic as they come. Tiger Mask IV and Yoshinobu Kanemaru provide some veteran presence, meanwhile, and the bracket is completed by two villainous masked men in BUSHI and El Desperado, and former winner Ryusuke Taguchi, who always raises his game in big matches.
