10 Things You Somehow Missed In AEW

8. Jon Moxley Tells Kenny Omega Just Who He Is

On the very first episode of Dynamite, Jon Moxley smashed Kenny Omega through a (worked) glass table with the Paradigm Shift.

It was a wild angle designed to heat up their rivalry and put over the idea that Omega thought Mox nothing but a garbage wrestler ("What are you gonna do, Jon: chain-wrestle me?")

Mox defeated Omega in his own domain at Full Gear '19, after which he evolved into the beloved "Pandemic Champion" just as capable of putting any and all comers away in a technical battle with his fearsome ground game. Omega sensed this, and concocted a "gentlemen's agreement" ruse to remove the title from him at Winter Is Coming 2020. In the build to the match, in a tremendous note of symbolism, Mox reminded Omega of what he'd become by mirroring the events of the premiere. He didn't drop Omega through a table but rather on top of the World Title.

In one very cool mirrored spot, Mox's character development was made clear with a neat visual - one that also secretly clued fans in on what Omega would have to do to beat him.
