Despite the failure of the Invasion storyline featuring WCW and ECW personnel, it did boast one of the biggest pops you will ever see in WWE.
With WWE stars being beaten to a pulp in the ring and being overwhelmed by numbers, the already raucous Raw crowd began the chant for Austin in the hope he would return to aid his company.
Michael Cole on commentary did a great job of building the suspense for people at home, while in the arena footage kept jumping to a backstage Austin, who was looking to fight his way through waves of ECW and WCW stars to get to the ring.
With the crowd at full energy and bellowing for Austin, the 'Rattlesnake's music hit, and the Civic Centre in Rhode Island got their wish.
It was a stunning segment, culminating in Stone Cold delivering countless stunners to clear the ring and send the crowd into hysteria.
