Where: Hero's Dynamite!! USA

Not quite the bright lights and fandom of the UFC, but there were fireworks - literally and figuratively. Lesnar's reaction to pyro going off during his victory interview is worth the price of admission alone.

Lesnar's MMA debut with Hero's was arguably the most important step of his career. A loss could have derailed his mixed martial arts run before it started, killing any chance of a big run in a US promotion. He may never have had the cross-over star value to return to the WWE the way he did in 2012.

However, all concerns were thrown out the window in 69 seconds with a one-sided submission victory by punches.

It took Lesnar eight seconds to get his opponent Min-Soo Kim to the mat, forcing him to tap after just over a minute of ground and pound. No KO, no TKO, no random referee stoppage… he just didn't want to keep getting punched, so he tapped.

Fair enough.

This win would quickly land him a contract with the UFC soon after and a high profile multi-year run with the global powerhouse.
