‘Go suck a blood money covered d**k in Saudi Arabia you f*****g dork’. This one doesn’t really need much in the way of context to be understood. Punk tweeted the above quote in response to comments made by The Miz on WWE Backstage. Miz’s crime? Making a half-baked comment about not changing the culture, a thinly-veiled response to Punk’s return.

Was Miz’s comment necessary? Not really, nobody could possibly give a hoot about WWE Backstage after all. Despite that, Punk’s response was extreme, to say the least, a heavy-handed, almost obsessive attack that didn’t paint Punk in a good light at all. He clearly realised this himself, as the tweet was soon deleted.

No matter your opinion about WWE’s decision to do business with the Saudi government, using homophobic language and juvenile slurs in an attempt to make The Miz look bad isn’t the most level-headed of moves. Punk’s frequent bouts of disrespect towards WWE are understandable more often than not, but this was a big miss.
