It's become something of a legend amongst fans, who still cannot get their collective heads around the fact that Jeff Hardy was allowed to go through the curtain to face Sting in the state he was in. Under the influence of alcohol or drugs (or both), Hardy was a complete mess, stumbling down the entrance way and clearly in no fit mindset to wrestle any match, especially not a PPV main event. Realising the gravity of the situation, Eric Bischoff made his way down to the ring, apparently passing over some information to both Jeff and Sting. The "match" proceeded, and would only last a minute or so, before Sting hit Hardy with his patented Stinger Death Drop, holding him down for the pinfall. Looking furious throughout, this was a case where both Jeff Hardy and TNA as a company really let Sting down. There were loads of eligible guys behind the curtain who could have come out and called a match with the man on the fly, so why Hardy was allowed to go out there is highly confusing.
