10 Times Kevin Nash Was The Absolute Best

1. DIESEL Returns At The 2011 Royal Rumble

Not Kevin Nash, not 'Big Sexy' or even that strange amalgamation of the two that went three pay-per-views with Triple H in 2003 before losing his hair to Chris Jericho. Diesel.

'Big Daddy Cool' was back, and he provided the best moment of the Dolph Ziggler-coined "Gratitude Era" upon his return. The crunching truck brought the ring to a standstill and Boston's TD Garden to its feet with a thunderous pop for the return of the former WWE Champion in that form for the first time since 1996.

Two faces - beyond Diesel's himself - sold the moment. One was Kofi Kingston's picture of shock as he clung to the ropes for dear life awaiting his possible fate. The other was Rey Mysterio's as it absorbed the most cathartic of big boots on Nash's arrival.

From the pop, to working a glorious iron man match with his own glove to make every last second count, to that aforementioned boot and the heat for his elimination, this was the sort of welcome and perfectly balanced nostalgia missing from more recent Rumbles.
