OK, so Chris Jericho was made to look like Stephanie McMahon's personal butler during the build and got crushed by Triple H at WrestleMania X-8, but that doesn't tell the full story. Around two years earlier, Jericho had just come in from WCW and was struggling to ingratiate himself to the WWF system.

That evil bastard Hunter stepped up.

He made Jericho look like a million bucks by "dropping" the WWF Title to him in a memorable Dusty finish on the 17 April 2000 Raw, then followed that up by having a thunderous 'Last Man Standing' match with the guy at Fully Loaded. Seriously, if you've never watched that war then you're missing out on one of the best.

By the summer of 2000, Jericho was finally accepted enough to feel comfortable about his prospects in the WWF. He might have got there anyway, but there's no doubt Triple H's work gave Jericho a major leg up when he needed it most.
