10 Times Triple H Faced WCW

2. Chris Benoit

On January 16, 2000, Chris Benoit won the WCW World Title, standing victorious over Sid Vicious following the main event of Souled Out. Fast forward just three weeks later, and Benoit was facing Triple H on an episode of Smackdown, now under contract to WWE. Much like Eddie Guerrero, Benoit entered the company as part of The Radicalz, and it became obvious pretty quickly that the 'Rapid Wolverine' was the best candidate for a top-line push out of all four men, although Guerrero himself would eventually match him. Immediately, Chris Benoit seemed to settle into the WWE schedule easily, and seemed to be having much more fun than he had for years in WCW. Most memorably for the tale of Triple H and Benoit, the latter would capture the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania XX, in a three-way match also including Shawn Michaels. It was a huge moment, and throughout all their matches together, it was clear HHH enjoyed the workhorse mentality of Benoit.
