9. Triple H Wonders What Happened To The Physique Of Chris Masters

Triple H really was as bad as his reputation indicates throughout the 2000s.

He was probably more detestable in the babyface role than as a heel. At least, as a heel, there was the thinnest justification for his antics. You were meant to hate him. He was very effective in this regard. As he introduced the World Heavyweight Title, the 4.9 people that tuned into RAW on January 7 had dwindled to 3.1 by November. HHH was so disliked that over a million people couldn't even stand the sight of him!

But as a face, he was meant to do things like make you like him. Act as if he was worthy of your support, that sort of thing. As the creaking da of the rebooted DX, he was top bantz. An absolute ledge. In 2006, he asked Chris Masters when he was going to write his book 'How To Lose 50lbs In Four Weeks'.

Masters had pissed hot, and his marketed physique had shrank. The svelte Triple H, whose look paved a road for the likes of Zack Sabre, Jr. and Marko Stunt to work for major promotions, registered his disgust live on air to no comeback.

Triple H's own book - 'How To Lose A War In 1.5 Years' - is pending publication.
