10 Times Wrestlers Abused Their Power On TV
4. Mr. McMahon Ritually Buries Jim Ross
People rather like Jim Ross.
People like Jim Ross far more than you might realise. Yes, he's a bit horny on main these days, saving his most enthusiastic GOOD GOD ALMIGHTYs for a slo-mo Torrie Wilson bikini GIF than a suicide dive in a trios match, but he's as good once as he ever was, and is a gateway for curious fans to follow AEW's product. He was the beloved pearl-clutching uncle of the Attitude Era: an iconic voice that got sh*t over.
Vince McMahon abused his power to sh*t on him time and time again for nothing but his warped, awful, personal amusement. There was no storyline purpose nor entertainment value to Vince McMahon reenacting JR's colonoscopy ordeal. It was a mean-spirited exercise in powerfully unfunny toilet humour.
Vince, without realising it, in his demented bubble, gradually cast WWE as the heel company over the course of several years. JR was the weird, senseless victim of an ongoing heavy heat angle. Vince also mocked JR's Bells Palsy affliction in a callous backstage skit in 2012.
Because he is legitimately one of the worst public figures to have ever lived.
