Having changed substantially since the Destination X pay-per-view in 2005, TNA is a much less exciting place in 2016. Virtually all of the buzz surrounding the promotion has vanished, yet Abyss is still slamming poor wrestlers onto thumbtacks. His latest victim was none other than Bobby Roode, during the March 19 episode of Impact Wrestling.

Shortly before he left the promotion, Roode and his Beer Money partner James Storm faced The Decay. That team is made up of Crazzy Steve and Abyss, and the latter likely couldn't wait to hear the response to the biggest bump of the match. Just as he had Hardy years before, Abyss crashed Roode onto the tacks.

This time, it was a Chokeslam that did the damage. Live reports from the taping - posted online by fans - suggest that Roode looked in severe discomfort as he left the arena to head backstage. That's hardly surprising, the tacks covered most of his back as he sat up from the bump.

At least Roode didn't seem to get many on his arms, but that's a small consolation.
