10 Times Wrestlers Bled The Hard Way In The PG-Era
8. Brodus Clay - TLC 2011
https://youtu.be/LLkF2zxnJ8w?t=516 Two years later, Christian would find himself on the other side of the coin, being the one to bust Brodus Clay open in, once again, a ladder match. Christian was facing the Mexican Aristocrat, Alberto Del Rio, for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship and was hanging from the belt above the ring when he was pulled down by the recently-debuted Brodus Clay. This was during Clay's brief run in the WWE as a monster heel, and he was charged with acting as Del Rio's enforcer. For his trouble he received a shot to the skull with a tiny child's ladder (why do they even have those a ringside?) and was left in a pool of his own blood. The wound was severe, requiring staples, and when Alberto Del Rio fell on him from the top of a ladder to the outside, Clay could still be seen sporting a crimson mask. Evidently the ladder shot knocked some screws loose, because later that year Brodus Clay returned to the ring as a funky dancing dinosaur. It's tragic when that happens to an athlete.
