10 Times Wrestlers Brought Old Gimmicks Back (For One Night Only)
3. Alundra Blayze (Evolution)
Alundra Blayze was definitely wrestling in the wrong era, being the only viable Women's Champion in a time when the division was all but non-existent.
Blayze debuted in 1993 and won the Women's Title in short order. It was Blayze herself that requested Vince McMahon more opponents to face her, so you can tell how seriously management took the division. Although some good matches came of this, she was released from her contract while still holding the championship, leading to the infamous moment where she appeared on WCW television and threw the little pink belt in the bin, rechristening herself as Madusa in the process.
She would continue under this name for the rest of her career in both wrestling (she retired in 2001 following McMahon's buyout of WCW) and as a competitive monster truck driver. However, following her 2015 induction into the Hall of Fame, Alundra Blayze made her in-ring return at the 2018 all-women's PPV, Evolution in a battle royale for a future women's title match, but was thrown out by Nia Jax.
