From early 2000 until the Invasion storyline in 2001, Edge and Christian used to form an occasional partnership with Kurt Ange as Team ECK. One of their early encounters was a six-man tag team match against Too Cool at Judgment Day 2000.

The match had one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history and an Olympic Gold Medalist. You'd have expected them to pick up the win. However, a split second changed the entire finish, with Too Cool scoring the victory.

The final moments saw Christian clocking Rikishi with the ring bell and Edge going for the cover. However, the referee didn't notice and was busy trying to get Scotty 2 Hotty and Christian out of the ring, which allowed Grand Master Sexay to hit the Hip Hop Drop on Edge.

Rikishi rolled Edge over for the pin, and the original spot was for Kurt Angle to break up the count. But Angle missed his cue and came it too late, which resulted in the referee finishing the three count. It took a while for everyone to understand what happened and for the music to hit. Rikishi looked pissed with the finish, but could do nothing but to improvise and play it off with the usual dance routine.
