7. Warrior’s WCW Debut Tanked In The Ratings

WWE's awful "Self-Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior" DVD was an embarrassing hatchet job on someone they'd later induct into their own Hall Of Fame. It was a ridiculously childish piece of business. Worse, it was riddled with inaccuracies just 'cause people wanted to bash Warrior.

Talking heads claimed Warrior's debut on WCW TV tanked Nitro's ratings, but that's simply not true. Nitro beat the WWF's flagship Raw that night (4.9 to 4.2), and Warrior's promo segment peaked at a 6.4 quarter hour. Meanwhile, on WWF telly, a miserable 'Brawl For All' bit pulled 3.1.

Yes, yes they were fibbing just to find any old excuse to bury Warrior's importance and downplay WCW's hot streak in 1998. That whole "Self-Destruction" set was a baffling exercise anyway - it outright failed to tell the truth, and only looked f*cking stupid when Vince McMahon was welcoming Warrior back into the fold for HOF treatment in 2014.

Yuck.
