10 Times Wrestling Fans Jumped The Barricade Into The Ring

9. WCW Referee Mark Curtis Takes Down A Fan On Nitro

http://youtu.be/LX3hnt3rFdY Dean Malenko was in a match with Psycosis on the September 8, 1997 edition of WCW Monday Nitro. Malenko was going back into the ring when suddenly a fan went into the ring. Before the fan could get to the wrestlers, referee Mark Curtis hit him with a knee to the face. After the knee stunned him, Curtis grabbed him in a headlock to keep him down. The wrestlers also kicked the guy. Security ran into the ring to take care of the guy and get him out of the ring. The announce team were making jokes about how the smallest referee was able to take him down. What's great about this moment is that Curtis was a small guy that weighed about 150 pounds, yet he completely handled this guy. His real name was Brian Hildebrand and he died of cancer two years after this. Mick Foley shares some great stories about him in his first book.
