10 Times Wrestling Feuds Crossed Over Promotions
1. Mick Foley Vs. Terry Funk
Mick Foley and Terry Funk have half-killed one another across different continents, much less promotions.
They first found themselves on opposite ends of the ring in All Japan Pro Wrestling, curiously, before finding the perfect home for the crazed, ultra-violent dynamic: Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1994, at Hardcore Heaven, the notorious site of the steel chair hailstorm. As if sustained by that precise crowd response, Cactus Jack and Terry Funk contrived to intensify their signature gore-fest in IWA: Japan, in which the men were disappointed by how pathetic the time bomb explosion was in their otherwise totally deranged (but very well-crafted) King Of The Death Match final. It's difficult enough having hair and watching it get ripped from the scalp by the barbed wire, much less conceive of that mentality.
Funk followed Foley to the WWF in 1997, debuting as Chainsaw Charlie to assist Cactus Jack in a brawl with the New Age Outlaws before a numerical coincidence at the 1998 Royal Rumble paired them together in a disgusting opening sequence of skull-on-skull steel chair exchanges.
They fought, made up, and fought again in early 1998, destined to connected by hand or throat.
