10 Times WWE Babyfaces Were Heels Backstage

"Randy Orton is the worst" stories have been so prevalent over the years that WWE appeared to steer into his backstage weirdness with a character swerve that saw him sadistically bully a production staffer for kicks on a 2018 edition of SmackDown Live.

The whole skit seemed like an uncomfortable wink to the audience aware of his misdeeds, including old tales such as destroying the personal items of various female colleagues (with - but not limited to - tanning oil and his own sh*t) and a recent writer anecdote of him groping himself ahead of shaking the hands of writing assistants and other underlings for his own amusement.

WWE even allowed the narrative to breathe on a DVD release years earlier. 'The Apex Predator' was presented as an entitled brat, but the focus was of a past tense compared to his apparently upgraded lifestyle as a loving husband and father.

As if the deathly dull matches before a recent bizarre in-ring revival weren't proof enough, the more recent revelations suggested that vipers are apparently a lot like leopards - they too can't change their spots.
