Vacant to Roman Reigns to Sheamus - WWE Championship.

One year before the bedlam at Money in the Bank, the Shield dominated another pay-per-view. With Seth Rollins vacating the WWE World Heavyweight Championship due to injury, a tournament was set-up to crown a new head of the table.

Enter Rollins’ former allies Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, who made the final and main evented Survivor Series 2015.

Fans had been waiting for the WWE to pull the trigger on Reigns and after a respectful match between two friends, a final Spear was enough for it to happen. As confetti reigned down, it was Triple H who came out to congratulate the new champion. The Big Dog wasn’t interested and gave the King of Kings a Spear of his own. Unfortunately, the Game hadn't come to the ring alone...

Through the colourful confetti came a pale silhouette. Reigns was down and a gold briefcase was being handed to the timekeeper. As Sheamus queued up for another Brogue Kick, the bell rang; 30 seconds later, it dinged again, and the Celtic Warrior was the new champion. A stunned crowd didn't know whether to cheer or boo as the Authority once again took control of the title picture. It was definitely an interesting booking tactic. Fans had rejected Reigns, but they liked Sheamus even less.

Trying to get the audience to decide who they hate the least isn't how you get a babyface over!
