7. Randy Savage Forgets The Rules

Whether he was roaring at Hulk Hogan for lusting after Miss Elizabeth, hanging around with Queen Sherri as the "Macho King" or adding his particular brand of colour commentary to the announce desk, Randy Savage was awesome. In fact, there wasn't much throughout his near-decade long run in the WWF that was poor.

That's what makes one hare-brained piece of booking at the 1993 Royal Rumble so perplexing. Savage, a shrewd veteran striving to take down mammoth newcomer Yokozuna, was required to forget how one of the promotion's biggest matches worked.

In the heat of the moment, he tried to pin Yoko and was promptly pressed over the top rope. Whoops.

This was unforgivably bad. Sure, the writers were trying to showcase Yokozuna's incredible strength, and they succeeded, but they also left one of the biggest stars in wrestling history looking like a colossal halfwit. This was the kind of thing that should've happened to The 1-2-3 Kid, not Macho.
