10 Times WWE Fans' Worst Fears Came True

8. Bray Wyatt Fizzles Out

Wrestlers go from being hugely popular to hugely "meh" for all sorts of reasons, the primary one being that they keep losing. It's quite simple, really: if you give fans enough reason to think a wrestler is rubbish, they'll eventually start thinking he or she or Bray Wyatt is rubbish.

Since early 2014 - right around the time he lost his WrestleMania date with John Cena - fans have feared that this could be the fate of Bray Wyatt, a performer who was once upon a time mooted (mainly by himself, admittedly) as a potential successor to The Undertaker.

The primary reason this prophecy has fulfilled itself is because the guy just keeps coming up short when it really matters. He lost to Cena. He lost to Undertaker (a post-streak Undertaker, no less). He even lost to Randy Orton, just a month after winning his first WWE Title.

This year, he's not even slated to compete at the Showcase of the Immortals - and few are getting bent out of shape about it either. He's lapsed into precisely the role that the sage wrestling heads among our ranks feared he would a couple of years ago.
