All's well that end's well.

We may not have got the result we wanted at the 2014 Royal Rumble, but Daniel Bryan ended up getting his fairytale moment two months later anyway, in large part because we were all so miffed at act one.

And yet, we're still going to spend just a little more time dwelling on what an injustice it was that Batista, back in the WWE ring after a near four-year break, was handed a Rumble victory on night one at the expense of the most over wrestler in the company.

This was something many fans feared in the build-up to the event too. Bryan winning being exactly what virtually all of us wanted, it also seemed like exactly the sort of thing that we wouldn't get - perhaps as a karmic punishment for all the times we booed John Cena.

Combine that nagging feeling with the return of The Animal - a wrestler whose bodybuilder physique and burgeoning profile outside the industry makes him an obvious Vince McMahon favourite - and you had the perfect storm.
