Anyone with their ears to the ground around the time of WrestleMania 33 weekend knew that a legendary WWE return for an iconic duo was very much on the cards.

That pair was none other than Matt and Jeff Hardy, and this speculation had been running wild from the moment it was announced that they'd be in town, after their contracts with TNA had expired a few weeks earlier.

The pair had taken on The Young Bucks in an epic ladder match the night before 'Mania 33 and this led some fans to question whether they would turn up - less than 24 hours later - to be a part of the show's multi-team Raw Tag title ladder match.

As the show began, the murmurs started to become that little bit more audible regarding the impending return of The Hardy Boyz and when The New Day took to the stage just before the aforementioned match, fans had a feeling the rumours were about to become a reality.

They did and my god, it did not matter that we could see it coming.

If the Citrus Bowl had a roof it would have been 'Broken' as Matt and Jeff revealed themselves to the WWE Universe and were met with the sound of ear-piercing euphoric joy.

To top it all off, they went on to win the gold on their first night back.

Wonderful.
