10 Times WWE Got Buyer's Remorse

1. Ultimate Warrior

Ultimate Warrior was sporting the facepaint, but it was Vince McMahon that felt like a clown as he - under total obligation - donated precious Monday Night Raw minutes to promoting Jim Hellwig's indulgences following his WrestleMania XII return.

Capitalising on McMahon's desperation (and his lingering adoration for the Hulk Hogan/Ultimate Warrior characters that took an entire new era to erase) Warrior caused havoc for the Chairman from the night he returned to the (last) night he no-showed events just three months later.

Not fancying Triple H's ideas for their match in place of a 'Show Of Shows' squash, Warrior didn't fancy much of anything sent his way despite returning during a time in which the product was virtually unrecognisable from his prior run.

60 second squashes to Vader as dark match main events weren't driving up attendances for the company's flagship during a barren box office time for the company, with Warrior just one of several pushed stars not to click as the organisation struggled to steer out of its commercial nadir.

His repeated non-attendance of events was the excuse McMahon needed and gleefully took in July - Warrior wouldn't appear in any capacity for the company again until the final weekend of his life is 2014.
