10 Times WWE Has Dropped The Ball With Bobby Lashley Since His Return

1. No Match With Brock Lesnar

Bobby Lashley has made it it quite clear over the past four years that his dream opponent is and always will be Brock Lesnar.

Fans started drawing comparisons between the two as early as Lashley's rise to super stardom during his first WWE run. Of course, Lashley taking his talents to the mixed martial arts world and finding success over there (essentially following in the footsteps of Lesnar in the process) only created more chatter about a potential clash between the two either inside the squared circle or the cage.

A match with Lesnar had to be one of the top reasons why Lashley decided to re-sign with WWE in 2018 and how it could happen as soon as SummerSlam, especially with Lesnar reportedly on his way out at that point. Lashley could and should have been given that main event with Lesnar at the August extravaganza, but WWE opted to stay the course with their plans to put the Universal Championship on Roman Reigns.

While that would have been as perfect of a time as any to do Lashley vs. Lesnar, nothing has stopped WWE from booking the bout this year. Lashley has gone so far as to call out Lesnar on both Raw and social media, but if WWE had the slightest amount of interest in giving him what he (and many fans) wants, it would have happened by now.

Lesnar vs. Lashley wouldn't win any awards for being a five-star mat classic, but if anyone could believably beat Lesnar decisively, it'd be Lashley.
